Seal Damage / Wear on the Leak Inspection Unit

Hello. I have loaded the equipment details and historical insights for the Leak Inspection Unit (Asset 1359). Seal damage or wear is a frequent issue on this unit, often leading to air leaks and part rejections during leak testing.

To diagnose this accurately, we should check both the physical condition of the seals/fasteners and the cylinder air pressure. Have you already started inspecting the seals, or would you like to check the cylinder air pressure first? Please perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) before any physical contact.

Perform physical inspection of the seals and bolts

Understood. Please complete your lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedure first.

Once the system is safe, physically inspect the seal for any visible cracking, tearing, or excessive wear. Additionally, check the seal holder-plate mounting bolts to ensure they are fully tightened and have not vibrated loose.

What did you observe during this physical inspection?
